1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Related technologies include local storage and session storage, which store data in your browser without sending it with every request, and pixels or tags, which are small files used to record that a page was loaded. This Policy covers all such technologies used on cleverpocketscoutshelves.lol (the "Site") and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies may be "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by another domain whose resource is embedded in a page). They may be "session" cookies, which disappear when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. The categories we use
We use three categories. Essential storage is strictly necessary and is exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Dutch law. Analytics and functional storage are optional, are switched off by default, and are only activated after you give consent through the banner. You may change or withdraw consent at any time by selecting "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.

4. Analytics cookies and storage

5. Functional cookies and storage

6. What we do not use
The Site carries no advertising network tags, no retargeting pixels, no social media tracking widgets, no fingerprinting scripts and no cross-site identity graph. We do not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising, and we do not participate in real-time bidding. Our outbound links to hotel websites, the MICHELIN Guide, museums and transport operators are ordinary editorial hyperlinks and carry no affiliate or commission tracking.
7. Managing your consent on this Site
When you first arrive you will see a banner offering three choices. "Accept All" enables essential, analytics and functional storage. "Reject Non-Essential" keeps only the essential items listed in section 3. "Preferences" lets you enable analytics and functional storage independently. Your choice is written to local storage so the banner does not reappear on later pages or visits. To revisit the choice, select "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of any page; to erase it entirely, clear site data for this domain in your browser, after which the banner will appear again on your next visit.
8. Opting out at browser level
You can also control cookies directly in your browser. Blocking all cookies may break parts of this and other websites.
- Google Chrome (desktop): Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies, then choose your blocking level. To delete existing items: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data → Cookies and other site data.
- Google Chrome (Android/iOS): ⋮ or ⋯ menu → Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data / Cookies.
- Apple Safari (macOS): Safari → Settings → Privacy → tick "Prevent cross-site tracking" and use "Manage Website Data" to remove stored data.
- Apple Safari (iOS/iPadOS): Settings app → Safari → Block All Cookies, or "Clear History and Website Data".
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection (Standard, Strict or Custom) and "Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data".
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data, plus Tracking prevention settings.
- Brave, Vivaldi and other Chromium browsers: Shields or Privacy settings, which block third-party storage by default.
To opt out of analytics across many sites at once you may also use your browser's private or incognito mode, or install a reputable content-blocking extension.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser or extension sends a GPC header, we treat it as a rejection of non-essential storage and will not load analytics or functional items even before you interact with the banner. Legacy "Do Not Track" headers are also respected in the same way. Because there is no universal industry standard for DNT, we recommend using the on-site preference control as the definitive record of your choice.
10. Changes to this Policy and how to contact us
We review this Cookie Policy whenever we change the technologies used on the Site, and at least annually. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; material changes to optional categories will trigger a fresh consent request. Archived versions are available on request.
